What defines a “functional approach?” Both physicians rely on a multitude of chiropractic, physical therapy, and manual techniques driven for patient success, however, and MOST importantly; a clinical approach to finding the “missing link” or “key contributor” rests on proven musculoskeletal and biomechanical paradigms. Such approaches allow the physician to gain “movement knowledge” of the patient, evaluate for not only painful sites, but to have a clear understanding of the “WHY” or as we say, “the smoke behind the fire” in searching for the “true” cause of the performance limitation or pain syndrome!
